What web browser is possible to use?

The system is developed for Internet Explorer and it is in this browser the functionality is tested fully. However, it has also been shown to work fully in Google Chrome. And since the web browsers are becoming more alike when it comes to handling of data it is possible that it will become a free choice in the future.

What do I have to install on my PC to be able to use AXSOR?

There is no need to install anything else besides Internet Explorer. Everything is managed in the web browser. This means that there is no need for updates on a single PC to manage the system.

What reader technologies are possible to use?

All tested RFID technologies within 125 kHz and 13,56 MHz has been shown fully working in AXSOR and EAGLE. This means that EM41xx, Mifare, iClass, Legic among others are possible to use. To be on the safe side, the best way to make sure that your wish comes true is to make us test your cards in advance.

When is a key bunch checked?

Every position is checked continuously, normally three times every second. Hence, checks are not only made when placements and withdrawals are made. It means that a withdrawal that is made when the door is closed is still registrered. Eventhough one can wonder how that can be possible?

What is possible to indicate with the LEDs?

Each position got the possibility to show the colors green, yellow and red. The can be presented in steady light or blinking. Authorized positions are indicated with a steady green light. When a key bunch is reserved within X hours this is indicated with a yellow light, and when the reservation is due it will turn in to a steady yellow light. Red light indicates a missplaced key bunch, and the blinking red LED indicates where the missplaced key bunch shall be placed.

What alarm indications are possible?

Starting with EAGLE it is possible to get the following alarm indications in the assembly:

  • open door
  • in-activity
  • force entry
  • un-authorized removal
  • to many objects removed at the same time
  • power failure

The alarms are possible to send out on four seperate alarm loops to external alarm systems or other external equipment. Prior to the alarms it is possible to get a warning signal. The warning times are possible to set by parameters. However, it is not possible to get alarm signals of “non-events” in the assemblies, such as not-withdrawn or not-returned.

It is possible to choose what events you want to have indications for. These are possible to show in the system, but it is also possible to send them via sms or e-mail. This is possible for all events, not only alarms. AXSOR also indicates other things than events in EAGLE:

  • network failure
  • non-withdrawals
  • non-replacements

It is of course possible to indicate a lot of things. If you do have any specific question please do not hesitate to send your question down below.

What about storage memory in EAGLE?

The storage memory is almost unlimited. Although there is a theoretical limit. Tests have been made with tens of thousands of users and over a million logs. This is nothing to worry about.

What happens when the network is down?

The communication between AXSOR and EAGLE is no longer possible. AXSOR will indicate that the network is down. Registrations and changes that are made in AXSOR are stored and will be sent out when the network is working again. All things that happens in EAGLE are stored locally until the network is up and running and the data are sent to AXSOR.

What happens if there is a power failure?

It is of course a need of UPS for AXSOR as it is on every server. In EAGLE there is a built-in battery back-up. It means that the assembly will be working for at least 12 hours with normal usage. The power failure is of course indicated with an alarm so it is possible to discover as soon as it happens.

What happens if the electronics fail?

It is always possible to open the door with the emergancy key. If the internal communication in the assembly may work anyway, and in this case everything is logged. Is the internal communication not working nothing is logged.

All data are stored in a way that makes it possible to move it if the electronics fail. This means that data that are stored once will not disappear.
